Terms of Use

1. Who can use Poster

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it, and able to enter into a contract. One account per person: do not create accounts for others or use someone else's. The information you give us must be accurate and yours.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for everything that happens through your account. Tell us at support@theposter.app if you think someone else has access. We may ask you to verify your email address or phone number before using some features.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you post. To be able to show it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, resize and convert, display and distribute your content to the audience you chose, for as long as your account exists. You confirm that you own or have the rights to everything you post and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. You can delete your content at any time, but copies may remain for a while in backups, and other people may already have saved or shared what they saw.

4. What is not allowed

• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or attacking people for who they are.
• Sexual content involving minors, or any content that endangers children.
• Sharing someone else's precise location or private information without their consent.
• Impersonating another person or pretending to represent Poster.
• Spam, scams, fake accounts, or artificially boosting posts.
• Illegal goods and services, or content that breaks the law.
• Malware, phishing, scraping, or trying to break or overload our systems.
• Posting other people's images or content without permission.

5. Location and your safety

Poster shows where posts are, so publishing a post can reveal where you are. Other users are strangers: meet people in public places, tell someone where you are going, and do not share your address. You use the app at your own risk.

6. Moderation

We may remove content and limit, suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or the law. We are not obliged to review every post, and removing something does not mean we reviewed everything else. You can report content and block people in the app; repeated abuse leads to losing access.

7. Our content and the app

The app, its name, logo, design and code belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for its intended purpose, obtained through Google Play. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app or its parts.

8. Third-party services

The app is distributed through Google Play and uses Google Firebase for sign-in, notifications, analytics and crash reporting. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply to their part of the service.

9. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Poster at any time by deleting your account in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or the law. Parts that by their nature should survive ending, such as disclaimers and limits of liability, survive.

10. Availability and changes to the service

Poster is under active development. We may add, change or remove features, and we do not guarantee that the service will always be available or error-free. Features marked as testing may be unstable and can change or disappear.

11. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that location data, place names, or content posted by other people is accurate or complete.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost data, or content posted by other users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app or on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use Poster after that means you accept the new version.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, and the courts in Zagreb have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and can bring a case in your local courts.
